
One-Pan Ground Beef & Rice Skillet
This hearty one-pan dinner comes together fast using our premium 80/20 Ground Beef. It’s perfect for busy weeknights, picky eaters, and anyone craving comfort food without the cleanup.
Ingredients
- 1 lb 80/20 Ground Beef
- 1 cup long grain white rice
- 1 medium yellow onion, diced
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 can (14.5 oz) diced tomatoes, with juice
- 2 1/2 cups beef broth
- 1 tsp chili powder
- 1/2 tsp smoked paprika
- 1/2 tsp salt (or to taste)
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 2 tbsp chopped fresh parsley (optional)
Instructions
- In a large skillet over medium heat, brown the ground beef until fully cooked. Drain excess fat if preferred.
- Add diced onion and garlic. Sauté for 2–3 minutes until softened and aromatic.
- Stir in rice, tomatoes, broth, and seasonings. Bring to a simmer.
- Cover, reduce heat to low, and cook for 18–20 minutes until rice is tender and liquid is absorbed.
- Turn off heat. Sprinkle cheese over the top, cover for a few minutes until melted.
- Garnish with parsley if desired and serve hot.
Tips & Variations
- Swap cheddar for pepper jack or mozzarella for a different flavor twist.
- Add frozen corn or bell peppers with the tomatoes for extra veggies.
- Make it spicy with red pepper flakes or diced jalapeños.
