
Classic Homestyle Beef Meatloaf
This old-school beef meatloaf recipe is the definition of comfort food — made with rich, juicy 80/20 Ground Beef and topped with a sweet, tangy glaze. A family favorite for good reason.
Ingredients
- 1 1/2 lbs 80/20 Ground Beef
- 1 cup breadcrumbs
- 2/3 cup milk
- 2 large eggs
- 1 small onion, finely chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tbsp ketchup
- 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 1/2 tsp dried thyme
For the glaze:
- 1/3 cup ketchup
- 2 tbsp brown sugar
- 1 tbsp apple cider vinegar
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F. Line a loaf pan with parchment paper or foil.
- In a large bowl, mix breadcrumbs and milk. Let sit 5 minutes.
- Add eggs, onion, garlic, ketchup, Worcestershire, salt, pepper, and thyme. Mix well.
- Add ground beef and mix gently until just combined.
- Shape into a loaf and place in pan. Bake 40 minutes.
- Mix glaze ingredients and spread over loaf. Bake 15 more minutes or until internal temp hits 160°F.
- Let rest 10 minutes before slicing and serving.
