Accessibility Statement
Parker County Beef Company wants everyone to be able to shop with us, including people who use screen readers, keyboard navigation, voice control, screen magnifiers or other assistive tools.
Our goal
We are working to make parkercountybeefcompany.com meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA. These guidelines explain how to make websites easier to use for people with disabilities.
What we have done so far
- Reviewed our website with automated testing tools and keyboard-only checks in October 2026.
- Darkened our brand color, sale prices, sale badges, buttons and banner text so they are easier to read.
- Added a text description to our homepage photo for people who use screen readers.
- Added a link to this statement in the footer of every page.
Known limitations
We know some parts of our website still need work. Here is what we are still fixing:
- Our pages do not yet mark the main content area, which makes it harder for screen reader users to move around a page.
- The scrolling banner at the top of each page and the moving strip on our homepage cannot be paused yet.
- On product pages, screen readers do not yet announce the size or pack options together with their label.
- The menu button on phones does not yet tell screen readers whether the menu is open or closed.
- Some hidden items, such as the sticky add to cart bar and photo arrows, can still be reached with the Tab key.
- The gift note box in the cart and the price filter boxes only show hint text instead of a lasting label.
- The quick add buttons are announced with words that do not start with the words shown on the button.
- Our cart drawer and subscription options come from Recharge. In the cart drawer, the free shipping progress bar has no spoken label, the upgrade to subscription button is hard to read, and some lists are not marked up correctly.
- Our box builder and bundle pages have not been fully reviewed yet.
Some features on our site come from outside companies, including Recharge. When we find a problem in one of those tools, we report it to the company that makes it and ask for a fix.
